Creating Calm in the Heart of the Buzz: T1 Glass x NTUC Health Active Ageing Centre (Bukit Panjang) In collaboration with D’Perception Ritz

Not every project calls for luxury finishes or corporate polish. Some demand thoughtfulness, purpose — and a sensitivity to the people using the space.

That’s what made the  NTUC Health Active Ageing Centre (Bukit Panjang) project so special.

Located in the heart of a bustling HDB precinct — surrounded by market stalls, food centres, and foot traffic — this new community space was designed to be welcoming and accessible to elderly residents. The challenge? Creating a serene environment right in the middle of the daily hum of Singapore’s vibrant heartlands.

Together with the incredible design team at D’Perception Ritz, we worked to bring this vision to life through a clean and practical installation of our T25 single-glazed partition system. The system provides subtle spatial division and privacy without closing off the area — ideal for multipurpose use — and most importantly, offers sound control that shields the interior from the lively surroundings outside.

Despite the activity happening just metres away, the glass partitions help ensure that activities inside the centre — from workshops to exercise sessions — can take place in peace and comfort.

This isn’t your usual workspace fit-out. It’s a space for community, connection, and comfort. And projects like these remind us that thoughtful glass systems can do more than define rooms — they can define the experience for those within them. Plus, with T1 glass in the mix, we’re not just creating beautiful spaces — we’re helping clients cut down on Scope 3 emissions too.
