Acoustic Glass Partitions Beyond the Office: Creating Calm in Car Showrooms

When we talk about acoustic glass partitions, most people think of offices. However, at T1 Glass, we believe that comfort, clarity, and design should extend into spaces where significant decisions are made—such as car showrooms.

Take, for example, the newly launched showroom. JMEV Singapore, an emerging electric vehicle brand, entered the local market with its Elight sedan model, unveiled at its Telok Kurau Road showroom (AsiaOne). As customers explore electric vehicles like the Elight, designed for families and offering up to 600km with its 65kWh battery fully charged ,they deserve a space that feels calm, private, and premium.

That’s where our T50 single glazed partitions with transom and mullion, paired with the T115 single glazed door, transform the environment. These glass partition systems provide a refined balance between openness and acoustic privacy, ensuring sales consultations can take place without the distraction of surrounding showroom activity.

The inclusion of transoms and mullions in the system plays both a structural and acoustic role. Transoms reinforce vertical stability, while mullions divide glass panels with precision, enhancing durability and creating modular flexibility for unique showroom layouts. Together, they strengthen the overall partition system and improve sound insulation, ensuring that important customer conversations remain private while maintaining a sense of openness.  Beyond function, the slim, clean lines of the transom and mullion add a modern architectural rhythm to the showroom. Against the sleek backdrop of JMEV’s electric vehicles, the partitions create a seamless dialogue between car designs and interior space.

This project builds on our recent work at an elderly active ageing centre, further proving that acoustic glass partitions aren’t limited to office environments. Whether in community hubs, corporate spaces, residential housing or high-traffic showrooms, T1 Glass systems align technical strength with design intent to elevate how people use and experience space.

At T1 Glass, we craft environments where performance meets aesthetics—because the right setting makes all the difference, especially when making a big purchase like a car.
