Designed for True Spatial Flexibility (Operable wall)

What sets this project apart is not just the presence of an operable wall, but how deliberately the space was planned to support multiple configurations. The layout allows the large room to be divided into up to six individual seminar rooms, or combined in various ways to form two, three, four, or five functional spaces, a total of 12 configurations while maintaining clear circulation, proper access points, and acoustic integrity.
Each configuration was carefully considered during the design phase:
Rooms can operate independently for simultaneous sessions
Larger zones can be formed for townhalls, training, or events
Select configurations allow spaces to merge without disrupting adjacent rooms
One arrangement enables the space to temporarily support front-of-house or overflow needs, adding operational flexibility when required
This level of adaptability is not accidental. It requires early coordination between spatial planning, track alignment, panel stacking logic, and structural constraints — especially where multiple tracks intersect and overlap.
Where Execution Makes the Difference
The most technically demanding aspect of this project lies at the intersection points — where panels transition vertically and horizontally across the grid of rooms. At these junctions, precision is critical. Any misalignment would affect multiple configurations, not just one.
T1 Glass worked closely with the project team to ensure:
Seamless panel movement across all track directions
Accurate stopping points for consistent room sizes
Reliable acoustic sealing regardless of configuration
Smooth transitions that feel intuitive for daily users
The outcome is a system that allows the client to reconfigure the space confidently and frequently, without performance drop-off or operational friction.
Enabling Regional Growth Through SBF Support
Beyond the physical space, this project also reflects a broader journey of growth supported by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), particularly through its Centre for the Future of Trade & Investment (CFOTI).
CFOTI supported T1 Glass Systems Pte Ltd in understanding and utilising Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) to reduce tariff costs and improve export competitiveness. This included:
• Advisory on applicable FTAs across ASEAN markets
• Clarification of rules of origin and documentation requirements
• Guidance through T1 Glass’s first successful use of the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA)
Through this support, T1 Glass strengthened its ability to access regional markets more effectively, building a stronger foundation for expansion beyond Singapore.
